From the Life of AI Software House: Street Lighting Management from a Smartphone - Building from Scratch in 6 Weeks
Have you ever imagined that street lighting could be managed directly from a smartphone, perhaps even from the device of the Mayor? For us, this vision became a reality when we created a groundbreaking product for one of our clients in the manufacturing industry. What started as an innovative concept evolved into a comprehensive system for intelligent management of urban infrastructure.
In the course of this project, we not only developed a system enabling remote switching on and off of streetlights but went beyond those boundaries, allowing for dimming and brightening of the lighting based on current needs. Moreover, each lamp was equipped with a feature to transmit information about potential malfunctions, along with a precise identification number assigned to a specific location.
One of the key elements of this innovative solution is a dedicated mobile application. Through it, street lighting becomes incredibly flexible, enabling almost instantaneous adjustment of lighting parameters to changing conditions. What makes our solution unique is not only the ability for remote management but also the handcrafted power supply (PCB - printed circuit board) and communication module. These components enable lamps on poles to communicate with the server where the application is installed, serving as the heart of the system.
The entire process, from conceptualization to the final product, took only 6 weeks. It was an intense period during which we worked passionately on every detail, keeping in mind the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
